Since 2022 Youth Off The Streets Overseas Relief Fund in conjunction with its partner Bembe have been working on projects in rural areas of PNG. This collaboration involves continuing financial support, on-ground logistics and coordination from Bembe ensuring projects are successfully implemented. From humble beginnings this joint cooperation has expanded to include

Supply & Install of Solar systems
Installation of small solar electricity systems to give a reliable power supply to remote community schools and health centres / aid posts. In Papua New Guinea most small villages do not have a town electricity supply and traditionally rely on expensive diesel generators for their energy needs.

Training young nurses and teachers
Scholarships being provided to students from Nursing and Teaching Colleges. The criteria for selection for a scholarship are that the students come from a rural background, show solid academic ability, are of good character and are in need of financial support to complete their studies

Improve Literacy and Numeracy.
We provide appropriate reading materials to Elementary and Primary School students. These books and tablet sets have been developed and contain material that has been written by PNG authors with PNG themes
